Current cases: An additional 48 confirmed cases were announced Wednesday in Utah, out of slightly more than 1,000 additional tests. No new deaths have been reported. Local health departments reporting new cases included Bear River (2), Davis (4), Salt Lake (27), Southwest Utah (1 visitor), Summit (7), Tooele (1), Utah (5), and Weber-Morgan (1). Non-urgent surgeries restricted: The state is restricting non-urgent surgeries until April 25 to protect the supply of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.

Equipment donations needed: Three legislators who are also doctors are urging businesses who use personal protective equipment to donate N95 face masks, gloves, and other protective equipment. Sign up to donate your unopened, commercial supplies here.
